Values Exercise

In a notebook, write down your 12 most essential values, choosing from the list below. Try not to over-think it.

Give each value a rating, 1-10, based on how well each value is currently expressed in your life.

If the values already scores highly, write down why you think you are able to express this value so well.

Very often middle scores are a little lower than they could be because of neglect or temporary circumstances.  Is there an easy adjustment you could make to improve these scores?

For the low scoring items, write down your biggest obstacle to living these values more effectively.  What would it take to remove that obstacle?  Write it down.

Finally, what action could you take immediately that would have the biggest positive impact on your life?  The important thing here is to focus what is possible now - and not on what is currently out of reach. Are you ready to take this action?
